Halloween at Baptist Hospital
I wanted to let all of you know that I am planning to take Kennedy to the pediatrics floor on Halloween (10/31) to visit the kids in costume. Vicki has approved the dogs wearing costumes that day in the hospital as a way to cheer up people who are in the hospital on this fun holiday. I also talked to Sarah who is the Child Life Specialist on pedi and they are so excited that Kennedy and I are coming. She wanted me to extend an invitation to other therapy teams to visit that day in costume. I know that today the floor was full and the kids were so excited to see Kennedy. On Halloween, I will be going a little before 1pm to pedi. The floor has requested no dogs between about 2-3pm as they have a Halloween event for the kids and they thought it would be too much to have the dogs then. However, they have said that ANY other time that day works for them (obviously not meal times, I know they get lunch around 11:30am, I do not know what time dinner is served). Vicki said that as long as we controlled our dogs, we could have several dogs up there that day. Kennedy will be dressed as Raggedy Ann and we hope that some additional teams might join us on Halloween or come sometime that day to provide some cheer to people in the hospital as dog's in costumes are just too cute!

Re: Halloween at Baptist Hospital
Personally, for me, I love the idea of the costumes for Halloween----or any time when appropriate. But just let me remind those who are Delta, in the past Delta has always been very strict---No costumes when visiting--not even a hat or headgear.
If there are several dogs on the floor at the same time, remember--only one dog in the room at a time.
Hope Bruce and I can make it. Don't know what he will dressup in, but we'll come up with something.

Mae and I are going to go visit when I get off of work. She is going as herself with an x-large, super cute Halloween collar ready to do tricks for treats.
