Guests Coming to the READ Workshop

Hope you are planning to join us for the READ workshop and PAws general meeting.

Saturday, March 5th, 10:00 a.m., Baptist Hospital, Paws Room(Cypress/Magnolia). (that is this coming Saturday.)

We have 4 guests from HPHP coming to join us. They all have been READ teams for 6 years or more and will be sharing lots and lots of hands on experience information. The kind that never comes from a book!!!!!

EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE NOT AT A POINT WHERE YOU CAN DO READ AS A FULL TIME COMMITMENT IN THE SCHOOLS: You are encouraged to come to the workshop. There seem to be more and more ways to share our dogs in the READ program--we have an initivative group. You might be asked to
Attend a READ night at the elementary school (Niesy's idea)
Introduce the Library's summer reading program (Niesy again)
Spend time with a neighbor's child reading
Help with an Early Release program (HPHP will explain this)
Be a team (even for one day) during a Library summer Reading with the dogs)
(in Liberty some of our teams take afternoon off from work to participate)
Volunteer to help during after school tutoring programs

And it is important that we all know as much as we can about the programs our group offers to Southeast TX. See you at the workshop. [flash][/flash]
