READ WORKSHOP--Excellent Program--

Thanks to Niesy, Sherry, and Diane we had an excelent learning experience at the READ workshop. Even though some were not able to do the full READ program in the elementary schools, the information was insightful and will be helpful. Niesy did an excellent job of presenting how the foundation for reading is begun in the Pre-K level and then built upon through second grade. Wish I had known more of that when my grandkids were beginning their reading learning.

Sorry so many of you missed this opportunity. The group has decided to meet next quarter for a program presented by the Rehab dept of Baptist Hospital. New member Jolyn, Sara, and rehab specialists will be developing the program. more information forthcoming.

The READ workshop was wonderful, I know I learned a lot and can't wait until Kennedy and I are ready to do this. Get ready for a good program sometime in June on ways that we can incorporate rehab work into our therapy visits. Kennedy and I visited the rehab floor Saturday and we really enjoyed our time there and we look forward to going back soon!
