A Beautiful Sight at the Liberty Library

Yesterday 15 children read to the Paws members and their dogs. First day only one appointment open, the coming Wednesdays are all most full. MAE already has four appointments for the last afternoon. Most everyone else had an opening here or there but these will fill up.

I did not READ yesterday but was there to get each session started. Then had the pleasure of standing way back and observing.

Fancy, never a READ dog before, laid her head across the girl's lap as the child scratched her ears and held the book right before Fancy's nose. Wrangler found he was the right height to drink from the children's water fountain and then lie down between Rhonda and the reader. Darla likes to sit beside the child and stick her nose down in the book and Sidney all but curled up in the girl's lap. The afternoon saw Wrangler returning, Secret got to come, long time READ dog, Sally, joined the group, and the new team of Kay Coffey and Bruce.

Next READ session on the 27th. Niesy and Dusty will be joining the group in the afternoon. Sometimes the last day we have had to turn children away, so If you can make it on August 3rd, Let me know now.
