Liberty Library Summer READ

Liberty Library is requesting the teams of Paws come to the library for Summer READ program. This will be oour third year to do so.

We need teams from all over as we in Liberty have lost two of our faithful READ team members this year: Wishbone and Brodie

Dates: July 20th and 27th and August 3
Schedule: Section A 10 a.m. to Noon
Section B 1:00 to 3:00

Teams may do all three weeks or select the weeks that they will be available. KIDS WILL BE THERE EVERY WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Teams may select Section A or Section B; or you may do a whole day.

The most important thing is I need your commitment----Dates/Sections; so I can work with the librarian.

PLEASE let me know. IT IS SUCH FUN>

Jo Ann- I wish I could help but I am teaching summer school in July through the first part of August.

Darla and i can be there all three days, which ever session time you need us.

Another team that is always there for us!! Thank you Darla and Lyvone. I will let you know which session although I suspect the first as you are both early morning folk.

Thanks to all who have volunteered. Looks like we will have at least 4 teams in the mornings (CAN always use another if you want to come--let me know so the kids can sign up)

Looking for at least one more team for the afternoons--hope Neisy and Dusty can make that. BUT DON"T LET ME HOLD ANYBODY BACK.

I'll be turning in the list and pictures of the teams Tuesday when I visit. This still is just a tentative list so she can begin making appointments and advertising. More teams are always welcomed and needed.

Schedules have been sent in to Sue at the Library. She is already signing up kids for the READ dogs. So be sure to plan your time. I am making bookmarks, stickers, and trading cards for the dogs and handlers.

We have some open spots and can use "fill-ins" WE CERTAINLY can use more teams as this program is becoming so popular with the children. I hate the thought of turning a child who wants to read away because we don't have a team available.

Volunteers still needed.

Be sure to be at the library at your designated time (actually 10 minutes early). We have children excited and waiting. I will go to the library tomorrow and get the appointments for this wednesday and e-mail everyone.

Thanks for being a part of this project. Already have a gentleman coming to "see what you do" and thinks he wants to join us.
