A Tea Party
I know it is against everything we talk about in the workshop and read in the manuals, but Holly and I did it anyway-----it felt right and it made one of our special friends very happy that she could share with us.
Tuesday afternoon Holly and I visited at Liberty Health Care Center. We always end our visits with two special friends, ladies we have been visiting now for 4 years. Both are becoming very fraile and we are very concerned about them.
Anyway, when we got to this room Mrs B was setting up a Tea Party on her rolling bedside tray. She had two glasses she had saved from her meal trays and had washed them very carefully. She had several napkins and a table knife ready. Holly had to take her accustomed place on the bed by Mrs B as I took the Eggnog out of the little refrigerator and at her directions got the Pumpkin Bread out of the storage unit. Also, had to get a package of Graham Crackers out of the treat box for Holly. Mrs. B carefully poured each glass half full with eggnog as I cut the pumpkin bread in slices--the width she directed. Then I broke up the Graham crackers for Holly to be fed by Mrs. B.
We laughed, we drank Eggnog, ate pumpkin bread, and she fed Holly while we talked about Thanksgiving just past and other Thanksgivings. She enjoyed telling the staff who looked in that we were having a Tea Party--she and her special guests, Jo Ann and Holly.
Yes, the time was most special. Though she called us her "Special Guests"; it is we who received the most from our Tea Party. Thank you Mrs. B for the 4 years of love.

Re: A Tea Party
I visited the same two ladies today when I was in Liberty....Wrangler was lost because he knows that Ms. B gives him a graham cracker and she was in the bathroom when we got there....he was very excited when she came out and he got his graham cracker...I know it's the favorite part of his visit there!
