Last weekend in February: Saturday at Baptist Hospital: Workshop; Sunday at Baptist Hospital: evaluations. This is the time to recruit for this workshop. It will be essential the two hospitals hosting the workshop to strengthen their programs; but since we are presenting, we are welcoming anyone to join the workshop and eval.

If your membership in Delta will be expiring this SPring, you may want to get on the schedule and evaluate. Even if it is not your last month, Delta will just extend from the date of your original expiration date. If you want to go ITA, that date will begin when you send in your membership application. REMEMBER: for both groups evaluations are good for only 90 days from the date of the evaluation.

The weekbefore Spring Break (will get actual date) Hardin Elementary will be doing the Safety Around Dogs. The Paws teams will be asked to attend on Thursday afternoon of that week.

Liberty County Library has already asked for our participation in the summer reading program. We will be providing the Dog Days of Summer reading opportunity on the last Wednesday in July and the first and second Wednesday in August. We will do a morning session of 2 hrs per team and an afternoon session on the same day, just as we did before. That way you morning folk can be there brighteyed and bushy tailed, while we afternoon folk will follow a more sensible schedule.

Am working on a local workshop and evaluation; but will get that date, location, etc out in the next edition.

Talked to Lisa Ferguson yesterday. She missed Saturday's workshop because she had to go to SFA with her daughter, but she wants to sign up for February workshop and evals. I think Bridgette and Dylan will evaluate as well.

Have them all call the volunteer services office at Baptist Hospital or e-mail vicki holcombe, the director of volunteer services. That will give you a nice group! 409-833-1411 ask for Volunteer Serivce or for Vicki Holcombe. Her administrative assistant is Barbara and her direct number is 409-212-5808. Now for the one who wants the workshop, does she still have the workbook? If so have her explain that she paid for the workshop in Kountz but was unable to attend, etc.

The two evaluations need to be schedule also. If they are both using the same dog, there must be one evaluation between mother and son.

Please confirm your willingness to help with evaluations at Baptist Hospital February 28th. It is crucial that I have a trained team there. This will be a Delta evaluation except for one maybe two. I am sure we will start about 10 in the morning as there seem to be at least half a dozen evaluations to be done.

Need a neutral dog team and at least two/three team members. Important to have one man.
