Prayers for Holly and for Me---Third Surgery

Took Holly in today. After conferences with A&M and other specialists it has been decided that Holly will have surgery once again as the toe area is not healing as it should. Donna Kay will remove all tissue and pad of the 4th toe and fuse the bone to the 3rd toe as these two digits are weight bearing. This was advised rather than amputation of the 4th toe.

Along with James' chronic illness, my therapy in my Holly is now ill. So Pray for all of us. Hope the Luck of the Irish will be with us on TUesday even though the Shelties are Scottish.

Jo Ann, I am hoping for the best for sweet Holly. I know this is very stressful for you, especially not being able to get it resolved. I will keep you and yours in my prayers.

Thanks to all your prayers and good wishes, Holly is improving. We are not well yet, but the site is slowly healing. She is still on limited activity (no chasing squirrels) and no going to the barn as one of the infections was usually found in manure.

She is on anitbodics, heavy, topical oinment on wash, and in addition, she is receiving laser treatment three times a week. Laser seems to be the new therapy for healing and pain. Let you know how it works, will be an assest to our old dogs as it is supposed to help with the pain of artrithus.

Glad to hear there is some hope of getting this resolved once and for all. I will send Annie out to chase squirrels and run through manure in Holly's honor today.

I am so glad Holly is improving and without the drastic surgery that was planned. She remains in our prayers, but I'm sure the greatest healing comes from the loving care you are giving her.
