Working on a new book of experiences Empty Working on a new book of experiences

We had an excellent first meeting for our "experiences" book.

Paws has done such an excellent job on the "Will You Read to Me?" book that members decided that we should also have a book for inspiring stories about our "kids." So, this is the information for Volume 1.

These wonderful people volunteered for the following jobs:

Melinda Kovacs - Editor in Chief
"Ghost writers"
Laura Kubula
Melinda Kovacs
Illustrator - Marylyn Jackson

The final stories & product will be determined by the editing committee: Melinda, Laura, Marylyn, Bettie, Jacque, Ivan, Don, Diane and anyone else who can make those meetings. There will be monthly (or more as needed) meetings to insure that everything is going smoothly.

STORY GUIDELINES:
DEADLINE for the STORY "HARVEST" is October 31.
Good stories involving your therapy animal. The stories can be about a therapy or R.E.A.D. visit or something that happened outside the "work."

As you think of a good story, please jot it down - stories can be worked on as long as the basic story is there.

Our "ghost" writers are available if you have good stories (and ALL of you do) but am not sure how to put it on paper. You can call one of our ghost writers, tell them the story and they will put it to paper and then let you have final approval before adding it to the story list.

FORMAT FOR BOOK
Half page (landscape)
Photo of animals on top of page and graphic appropriate to story at end of story. Photo and illustration to be in color.

PRINTING
Not sure yet, but will probably see if the University in Beaumont will consider doing the honors.

BOOK TITLE
Here are some possible titles:
Paws-itively Cute, Paws-itively Therapeutic, Ins-Paw-ration, Huggable Therapy, Therapy Tails, Af-Fur-Mations, Af-furming Visitors.

We also need a subtitle (something to go under the actual title to give a more practical title to the book: Therapy Animal Stories, therapy Animal Stores from Texas, True Stories from HPHP & Paws.

Please submit your suggestions for the book title and subtitle.

SUBMIT YOUR STORIES TO MELINDA !!! YES, YOU CAN SUBMIT MANY STORIES.
