PEt Therapy and Deaf Education Empty PEt Therapy and Deaf Education

My daughter in law is an interpreter for the deaf in Birdwell ISD. She went to convention recently and one of the workshops was the use of Pet Therapy in Deaf Education. She said the two presenters were Delta Society members living and working in Round Rock TX. The workshop was one of the most popular offerings; interested parties had to be turned away. A lot of the time was discussing the READ program, but the dogs come on Friday to test the children in Math and other subjects. The teachers make a matrix on the floor with answers to problems and the child has to throw the treat on the right square before the dog can be released to get the goodie. Also, if the children were good during the week, the dogs got to come, but if they were not, NO DOGS.
