K-9 APO boxes Empty K-9 APO boxes

Post  Diane Carpenter Mon Nov 17, 2008 9:35 am

Jacque and Ivan have filled 4 APO boxes with toys and treats. They are being mailed today by HPHP.

Just a reminder that HPHP has "adopted" K-9 soldiers - as many as we can fill boxes for. Here are some suggested items:
Treats
Toys
Blankets
Bowls

Bring your donations for the K-9 dogs to the Christmas party OR give them to Jo Ann or Janice. As soon as we have a box full, we'll ship it.

You can check out the website www.anysolder.com

Thank you, Jacque, for the excellent suggestion that allows us to make a difference in the life of a canine serving his/her country.

K-9 APO boxes Empty Needed Items

Post  Jo Ann Russell Wed Dec 03, 2008 11:39 pm

Can't find a source telling the types of items to get for the boxes. What type of dog does Matthew have? How big should blankets be? Do you mean doggie coats instead of blankets? Maybe the children at the elementary schools might want to bring something for the cause, but they need to know something about the animal like size, breed, color, age, all things kids love to ask about.

K-9 APO boxes Empty 7 Doggie Boxes Sent

Post  Jo Ann Russell Tue Dec 16, 2008 1:17 am

Jacque and Ivan report that they have filled 7 boxes with your donated items for the team (s) in Iraq and 1 box for the dogs in Alaska who are being cared for by a group while their masters are serving in Iraq.

The German Shepards' name is Thomas and from Jacque's report he is a very big guy.

You all have made Thomas' tail wag and a young Marine know that people back home care. Thank you. Very Happy santa

K-9 APO boxes Empty Army Dog Boxes

Post  Jo Ann Russell Tue Jan 27, 2009 2:54 pm

I will be meeting with Diane mid-February and can take more items to her. We are still collecting as the 7 boxes were spread among the group of young men and their dogs and greatly appreciated.

Diane and I were too involved in the practium this weekend and forgot to exchange the picture the boys sent so I could send it on to everyone. Will get it soon.
