Blessing of the Animals

This Blessing took place in Huntsville at the First Christian Church. It is the 2nd annual Blessing and the church hopes it becomes a yearly event.

It was a very nice ceremony. Melinda was the person of ceremony. Each of the animals received a blessing, special ribbon and, of course, their photos.

We hope that more people can attend next year. There were many comments on how well behaved the "therapy" dogs were.

Monday we had a church business meeting with our District Superintendent. In the pastor's report, Rev Jordan reported with pride on the dedication service for our dogs and handlers. Then he remarked, "and the dogs were so well behaved, even better than many children I have had in former congregations.
