Very exciting news!

Paws4Love/HPHP has it's very own website! It's still in process, but it's almost there. It's at

http://www.paws4lovehphp.com.

I'm hoping our chapter members will go there and take a look. You will see that our very talented artist, Janice, has created some unique artwork for the border. She has also volunteered to do some more artwork for us when we figure out what it is. All I know right now is that it may be a dog house or an id tag! Thank you Janice!

The text was written primarily by Jo Ann, our fearless leader. Thank you Jo Ann.

One thing to look at is the scrapbook page. It is still under construction. All I did there was import the remaining pics that Jo Ann and others gave me, the ones that didn't go on any other page. If you have pics of your dogs that are not on the site, just forward them to me. I'm not sure how it will all come out, but I think we should have one section for our dogs "in real life", you know, doing the fun things they do when they aren't "working". Maybe at dog shows, or just playing at home. This is the place where any cute pics of your partner is welcome.

Send them to wannabet@spamarrest.com

Jo Ann has also done a fabulous job at editing, but if you see anything we've missed, typo'd or omitted, please let me know. I know I'm missing some members, but I don't have their info.

Website unveiling Empty Love the website!

It looks great! I think it would be neat if we could have a section where we could tell a few of our touching stories for the public to see, so folks could read about the difference pet therapy makes.

Website unveiling Empty Neisy's Suggestion

We actually have that category, "True Stories". If you want to change the title, O.K., but the descriptor is telling that this is about what we do and the stories about the things that happen to us.

Website unveiling Empty Re: Website unveiling

I think Niesy was saying to have a page on the website for our stories. If people post their stories on the forum, I can start compiling them for this page.

I wanted to also explain that the names on the bones and bowls are texted into the artwork, so as we have new members, their dog's names will be added. It is a unique part of the website because Janice painted it for us, but also because it will continue to grow as we grow with more people and partners. To me it will always be sort of a personalized tribute to the dogs.

Janice is also contacting our sponsors for website info. We can link their websites from the sponsor page.

The other part that is missing is technical in nature. The initial idea was to have a website where we could refer people for information. Eventually people need to be able to "find" us using a search engine such as google. That will take some time. I'm not an expert at this, it's called search engine optimization, but I will get some help with that when the rest of the pieces are completed.

I also need to know if people have trouble loading pics or using links. I have a little trouble loading pics on my supposedly high speed connection, and absolutely no trouble on my Verizon card on my laptop. I edited all the pics and downsized them for faster loading, so hopefully they load quickly.
