Target Grant

Each year, we send the wonderful people at the Target Foundation a visual of the READ work we do with their generous grant. Last year, we created a poster - this year we are sending them a photo album that includes photos of literacy activities, including the library and schools. This album contains:

PHOTOS of THE HANDLERS & DOGS
Separate photo of each Dog with his/her section of PHOTOS OF DOGS WITH STUDENTS

If you are involved in literacy activities, please send your photos to huntsvillephp@yahoo.com so they can be included in the album.

If you have done anything special for your students, teachers or school, please let me know so that information can be included in the letter we send.

We also plan to send several packs of our great note cards , so, Jo Ann or someone, please send 2 packs of your cards to add to ours.

Notecards in the mail on Monday

As our kids are usually on the low end of awards at the achievement awards program at the end of school, we give the READ students a special certificate (laminated with picture of child and dog) along with a specially select book pawtoegraphed by the dog.--this to encourage them reading during the summer.

do you want pictures of summer library read? I've sent copies of Niesy, Dusty, Darla, Holly, Bruce, and Dallas. Do you need others from the summer. Janice, please send one of Brodie's.
