Hello all!

Just wanted to touch base with all of you to 1) say hello and 2) remind everyone to please be prudent (but not paranoid) about the swine flu as it is definately making it's way around here. The news came last night that MapleBrook Elem. (just across the lake in Humble) has been shut down for 2 weeks because 2 children have come down with the virus.
JoAnn, I will let you know about the cost of a clock--mostly it will depend on size and detail. If I remember correctly, the one I have (wooden hanging clock w/ cuckoo bird) was around $100.00 dollars.

Make $100 the limit. Appreciate that.

You be careful working with all the children. LEt us know when you will be leaving and returning, etc.

We are back in school as the closures have all been lifted!!
My dates for Germany have changed--I will be flying out on the 26th of May instead of the 5th of June. I still plan to return at the end of June. JoAnn, I will keep your $100 limit in mind.
Is the church thing on the 17th something I can bring Da Vinci to? He needs LOTS of exposure to different people to help settle his hyperness! Let me know what you think.

Yes, You can bring your puppy. I figured that we would meet on the South side of the church under the big trees there. The congregations will be having lunch in the fellowship hall and dogs would not be appropriate in there. I will ask the pastor to come out side as there are some of his special friends there who want to wish him well in his retirement. Then we will ask him for a special dedication of our youngsters. He will love it. Glad to see your youngster. Remember there is no fence so you will need to be sure you have restraints.

Everyone, Diane has sent the shirt. I have printed off the certificate of honorary membership and have a frame. Hope we will have a good representation of the teams.

gene and i are planning on being there....will bring emma too...getting emma some goats to herd. she proably knows more about it than i do.

Great. I was afraid Rhonda (and Wrangler--Gentle Giant) and I would be the only ones there. So we have Wrangler, Bruce, Emma, and Diana's new dog for the dedication. Won't Clint be surprised.

I want to bring Bruce and Rosco and see if they will herd. I know Rosco will. Bruce tried it once, but did not like the smell of the goats. I was told to bring him back as sometimes it took the older dogs a few times to kick in. He herds the cats, surely he will do the goats.

Where are you going to keep the goats??? You are loaded down with dogs now. No I do not want more to take care of here. If you were near, we might work out an arrangement in the back pasture.

IF the weather is not appropriate for out under the trees. We will go into the back of the sanctuary. Our dogs have been in and will be accepted as before.
