Wow and Wow again. What a successful program. Started a little slow, but ended with a bang. We had more children wanting to read to the dogs than there were available dogs. This afternoon we had five dogs and all read with 4 children. Busy times. Very Happy

The parental evaluations were very supportive of the program and encouraged the repeat next summer. Thanks to all those who pitched in and gave of their time. Your efforts were recognized and appreciated. I love you

Annie and I had a great time, thanks for putting this together and special thanks to KSHN and the papers for covering and promoting it. My second child selected a very difficult book, and worked so hard to learn the new words. It was totally inspiring.

Wishbone and I had an AWESOME time over the last three weeks. And the kids enjoyed it so much. They worked so hard to read to Wishbone. Thanks for putting this together. By the way, I found out that a friend's grandson had participated and he really loved it!

I really enjoyed doing this with the kids. I am sorry my dog slept through some of them and I had to explain to them that "he relaxes while he's listening." The Kountze Library wants to do a similar program next year, so I am looking to recruit more folks in my area. Getting kids excited about reading is a great thing. (I'm a teacher, by the way.) Crush's picture was in the Silsbee Bee this week with an article about our presentation at the Kountze Library. It's amazing what a simple dog does for folks. If I ever go anywhere without him, everyone always wants to know where he is!
