Health Report on Holly and Bruce
Holly had to make a return today as she was beginning to limp; her surgery was a week ago. Donna Kay said a stitch in the underside of her foot was hanging and pulling. Whatever she did we are not limping nor biting at the bandage. The lab reports say a chronic condition of eruptions (which we have had), one strain of staph which is responsive to antibodics, and waiting on the fungus report. The consensus of the conferring vets is that they are "hopeful" that by removing all the tissue between the two toes we have eliminated the chronic condition because there is no affected tissue. Sure hope so.
Bruce went along after first visiting at Liberty Health Care Center. He is not quite the visitor there that Holly is. He times out much quicker. But then he went to comfort Holly at the vet and found that he was due his annual. Such a big boy! He cried and whined when he had to have his ears cleaned and his toe nails cut. Holly is so stoic that you know she is really pained if she makes a noise. Bruce, well that is a different story.
